He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ellis and Lois Jean Cooper (Swedersky); his wife Sandy Cooper; and his grandsons, Ethan Jacobsen and Shawn Bolzenius.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Elwood Cooper (Dianna) of Canal Winchester, OH and Richard Austin Cooper (Jena Lyndel) of Pataskala, OH; his grandchildren, Heather Jacobsen (Donald), William Cooper (Sarah), Tiffany Cooper, Noah Cooper and Jonah Cooper; his great grandchildren, Ashley Bolzenius, McKenna Jacobsen and Donald Jacobsen, Jr.; and his brothers, Thomas Cooper (Barb) of Put, Ron Cooper (Julie) of Hillard, OH and Bill Cooper (Kay) of Johnstown, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
