It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Carr (Pickerington, Ohio), who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Carr and Carolsue Carr; and his brother John Carr. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his son Jay Carr (Hannah); his stepchildren, Deborah Neisius (Jay) and Patrick Duckworth (Denise); his grandchildren, Madison, Colton and Morgan Neisius; his siblings, Jeffrey Carr (Vicki) and Nancy Wittaker (Mark); and his sister-in-law Patricia Carr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held 2:30-4:00 p. m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at THE DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, Ohio 43147, where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 p. m. All Covid 19 guidelines are followed and masks are encouraged.

“Jim Carr was a good man and a valued colleague. I remember when I first met him how I was struck by him friendly demeanor and (extra) firm handshake. He had a keen instinct for the work we do in our industry, and was the sort of person to quickly put people at ease. Jim was 30 years my senior, but always made me feel like a contemporary (and not a kid.) He will be missed and fondly remembered. My deepest sympathies to the Carr family.”
