James B. Walter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James B. Walter (Pickerington, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred (Garnet Bryan Walter) and James; his wife Jane M. Walter; and his siblings, Jan, Carolyn, Shirley and John.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. John Walter (Julie), Jason Walter (Kelly), Joel Walter (Leah) and Jessica Walter (Mark Easter); and his grandchildren, Jamie Walter (Joseph Woodall), Jacob Walter (Maddie Savage), George Walter and Emily Walter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Among his proudest accomplishments were first and foremost his close-knit family and then his involvement with the Fairfield County Covered Bridge Society where he donated and helped move the McCleery-Walter bridge to the Fairfield Heritage Trail Association for the Lancaster bike trail.
