He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pettit and Mary Belle Pettit (Miller); and his brother Dick Pettit. He is survived by: his wife Marva Pettit (Hart); his daughter Lori Miller; his grandchildren, Brandon Merida (Amy) and Sarah Merida; his sisters, Denise DeHaan (Peter) and Diane Pettit; and his sister-in-law Lois Pettit. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
