He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hoskins and Jessie Hoskins (Hall); and his siblings, Hubert Hoskins, Norma Jean Combs, Clara Jo Combs and Lillie Mae Caudill.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Hoskins (Thompson) of Phillipsburg; his children, Sheryl (Bryan Brunner) and Michael (Ann Hoskins); his grandchildren, Jordan Tyler, Kimberly Brunner of West Chester, Christian Michael Hoskins, Madelyn Ruck of Asheville, Emily Ann Hoskins of Asheville and Matthew Ruark Hoskins of Raleigh; and his brothers, Jack (Charlotte Hoskins) and Richard (Mary Hoskins).
