She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Taylor and Marjorie Taylor (Kling); her former husband Virgil Richer; and her siblings, Rodney Taylor, Linda Taylor and Carolyn Martin.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Short. She is also survived by her husband; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the Fulton County Humane Society.
