He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Muir and Ruth Shaffer (Wehde); his stepfather Jack Shaffer; and his stepson Nicholas Saunders. He is survived by: his wife Cathy "Catie" (Wipert); his family, Phil, Sandi Dombay and Mark; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Saunders and Victoria Saunders; his siblings, Scott Muir (Laurie), Tim Muir and Cristina "Cris" White (John); and also, Deklan, Rylan, Parker and Alayna.
