It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Earl Piatt Sr. of Perrysburg, Ohio, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Piatt and Ruby Piatt; his son John Piatt Jr.; and his grandson David Piatt. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Adams; his children, Kim Dane (Steve), Bruce Piatt (Cathy), Lynne Huffman (Todd) and Kris Piatt; his daughter-in-law Sue Piatt (John); his grandchildren, Tara Zechman (Nate), Daniel Piatt (Janell), Adam Dane (Aimee), Bryan Piatt, Shannon Solt (Rob), Kyle Huffman (Jane), Chad Huffman, Katie Wernet (Tobias), Allie Dane (Jhonny), Ryan Huffman (Sarah), Ellen Huffman, Courtney Gottschalk (Chase) and Eric Piatt; and his brother Dan Piatt (Sandy). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.

“John was a part of our lives for 40 years. He leaves a legacy (with Kathryn) of a family which mirrors his dedication and drive. The people of Perrysburg have lost a lifelong resident and contributor to its history, both from the bakery and from his support of Perrysburg school activities (especially athletics). We are sorry that will be unable to attend this weekend. but offer our sincere condolences. Dennis and Judy Huffman”
