He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick A. Kuhr and Dorthy Kuhr (Songer); his wife Janice; his son Franklin T. Kuhr; and his siblings, Freddy, Nancy and Linda.

He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Kuhr (Annette) and Douglas Kuhr (Brenda); his daughter-in-law Andrea Kuhr; his grandchildren, Ashley (Todd), Lauren, Andrew (Hannah), Matthew, Allison, Lydia, Konner and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Brody, Emelia, Eli, Emmett, Luci, Jaxon, Oliver and Abbey; and his siblings, Ernestine Martin and Billy Kuhr.
