He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Chalfant and Jeanette Chalfant (Kooi); his wife Lois West; his brother Harold; and his grandson Cory Chalfant.
He is survived by: his sons, David Chalfant (Susan) of Orlando, FL and Steven Chalfant of Perrysburg, OH; his grandchildren, Christopher Chalfant (Jamie), Heather Herrington (David) and Stephanie Chalfant-Glenn; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Natalie, Gwendolyn Chalfant, Hannah, Hadleigh, Harper and Riley Herrington; and his brother Allen Chalfant.
