He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Douglas and Mary Douglas (Mitchell); and his siblings, Mick Douglas, Jerry Douglas and Colleen Butz.

He is survived by: his wife Penny Douglas; his son Eric Douglas (Julie); and his grandchildren, Morgan Douglas and Darian Douglas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and countless friends and extended family.
