He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Empie and Patricia Empie (Regulski). He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Karen (Jason) and Glen (Jessica); his granddaughters, Scarlett and Magnolia; and his brothers, Douglas and Robert (Melissa). He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
