He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mowry and Carolyn Mowry (Ludeke). He is survived by: his wife Karen Hill Hreben; his children, Matthew Mowry (Alicia), Ana Smith (Chad), Ryan Hreben (Ashlee), Kyle Hreben (Max) and Lauryn Danesh Jafari (Ali); his grandchildren, Jason, Gabe, Cam, Mila, Cohen and Sydni; and his brother Bob Mowry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's name to The Cherry Street Mission, The Salvation Army, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
