He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Bertha Smith; his stepmother Anne; his close friend Joyce Baird; his children, Morty Smith and Deana Meeks; his granddaughter Baby Smith; and his brother Rayvon Smith (Ruby).
He is survived by: his sister Raynell; his sister-in-law Ruby Smith; his sons, Rodney Smith and Rusty Smith; his stepdaughters, Pam Contos and Paula Meeks; his grandchildren, Jessika "Jesse" (Sam), Robert, Erin (Derek), Christie, Alexis (Mohammed), Winona, Wesley and Zoey; and his great grandchild Lenna Joy. He is also survived by many other great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Toledo Area Humane Society, or to the Tunnel to Towers foundation to support veterans.
