He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard P. West and Florence C. West (Gibbs); and his wife Linda J. West. He is survived by: his children, Todd R. West (Ame) and Dr. Julie A. West; his stepdaughters, Victoria Kenyon (Brian) and Christina Stropky; his stepgrandchildren, Jordyn and Joey; and his siblings, Donald L. West (Patricia) and Bonnie Hunt (Charles).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
