It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Gatrell of Perry, Ohio, born in Canton, Ohio, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Gatrell and Victoria Gatrell; his wife Janet Gatrell; his daughter Beth Ann Kortis; his granddaughter Kari Ann Hurst; his great grandchild Luke Nicholas Kortis; his brother Larry Gatrell; and his brother-in-law Dan Brenisen.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Perez (Frank), Michael Gatrell, Dana Louise Arnold (Dave Elkins), Steve Kortis (Tina) and James Kortis, Jr.; his sister Dorinda Brenisen (Jim Godsey); and his close friend Bonnie Klausner.
