He was predeceased by: his son Richard F. 'Rick Burgess; his grandson Davey, Jr.; and his siblings, Butch Burgess, Mary Eastman, Dorothy McCoy and Helen Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie Robison; his sons, Mark Burgess of Trinity, Alabama and David Burgess (Erin) of Cridersville; his grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Lindsay, Taylor, Owen, Natalie and Mason; and his sisters, Carol Junord of Celina and Betty Bigelow of Genoa. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
