It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Allen Petre of Perry, Ohio, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Myrtle A. Witmer; his parents, Calvert and Ada; his sister Rhoda; and his son-in-law Ezra Troyer.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Yoder (Donald) of Somerset, Ben Petre (Josephine) of Somerset, Joseph Petre (Leanne) of Glenford, Dorcas Miller (Caleb) of Somerset and Edith Troyer of Mt. Perry, Ohio; his siblings, Eunice Martin of Rock Springs, Ellen Witmer (Elmer Enos) of Lebanon, Aletha Petre of Sparta, Ada Marie Witmer (Charles) of Smithville, John Petre (Miriam) of Manton, Glen Petre (Priscilla) of Altamont and Ivan Petre (Lillian) of Crosshill; and his mother-in-law Mary Catherine Witmer of Sparta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
