It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Gerak-Gibbs of Peninsula, Ohio, born in Stow, Ohio, who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Emil Gerak; and her cousin Tammy Gray (Donzelli). She is survived by : her husband Christopher Gibbs; her mother Nancy Gerak (Donzelli); her siblings, Tony Gerak (Tricia), Amy Mangione (Andy), Michele Clayton (Dan) and Mary Brehm (Ryan); her parents-in-law, Carol and Art Gibbs; and her brother-in-law Arthur III (Vickie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and patients as her own children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peregrine Church Richfield, Ohio or Rhoda Wise House & Grotto in Canton, Ohio.

“I remember meeting Laura while working at Akron Children's. We became friends and I admired her for her love and compassion for all the patients at the hospital. I remember one day talking to her and saying that God put her on this earth to be an Angel for all the Children here.
