She was predeceased by : her former life partner Floyd; her husband Harvey Hanes; and her siblings, Margret Kochan, Robert and Arthur.

She is survived by : her children, Robert Schumann and Mary Broome (Greg); and her sister Eleanor Grimes. She is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
