He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil F. Riffle and Rosaline Riffle (Toth); his aunt Irene "Neni" Toth; and his great grandchild Alice Collum. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne I. Parsons; his children, Kerry Riffle of Woodville, Nicki Collum (Jeff) of Genoa and Amy Converse (Jeff) of Woodville; his grandchildren, Seth Collum (Taylor Dittman), Alec Collum, Autumn Converse (John Williams), Karter Converse (Anna Youngless) and Averie Converse; his great grandchildren, Melody, Remus, Jacob and Leroy; his siblings, Richard Riffle (Diana) and Darlene Ernsberger of Gibsonburg; and his pet Jax. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contribution to: The Wounded Warriors Project.
