He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Comes and Elizabeth Comes (Alwill). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen S. Campbell; his children, Jeffrey Comes of Bowling Green, Erin Comes-Randall of Toledo and Jonathan Comes of Toledo; and his grandchildren, Derick Buchman, Jeffrey Comes, Cooper Comes, Isabella Comes, Nikki and Vegas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: The Shriner Children's Hospital.
