It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Amelia Marie Patten (Pemberville, Ohio), born in Bowling Green, Ohio, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Snyder and Dora Snyder (Bockbrader); her husband Harold Patten; her siblings, Alfred Snyder, Wilbur Snyder, Otto Snyder Louis Snyder, Doris Atkin, Ada Wittenmyer and Irma Meyer; and her daughter-in-law Mary Patten.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel H. Patten of Wayne, Pamela M. Deeds (Darl) of Findlay, Valerie G. Whipple (Les) of Cygnet and Stanley J. Patten (Rosemary) of Risingsun; her grandchildren, Jerae Deeds, Jason Deeds (Dru), Julie Banner, Jeremy Patten (Antionette), Jessica Nekoranec (Jake), Nick Gerkens (Nicole) and Jill Porter (John); and her sisters-in-law, Jean Snyder of Latcha and Mae Scott of Bowling Green, Ohio.. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In accordance with local mandates, masks will be required in the church and social distancing will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Grace Lutheran Church in Weston, Ohio, St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Rochester, Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
