He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mauntler and Caroline Mauntler (Kaemming); and his siblings, Charles, Arthur Mauntler, Rita J. Emch and Doris Baker.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Noll Hudson; and his stepson Bruce Hudson of Woodville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
