He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Mitchell and Mattie Mitchell (Green); his wife Urania Mitchell (McFarland); and his daughter Linda Mitchell. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennie Hill of Otway and Vickie Penn of Peebles; and his siblings, Larry Mitchell of Peebles, Garry Mitchell of Peebles and Kathleen Brewer of Harveysburg. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great, great-grandchildren.
