It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Eugene Shanks of Peebles, Ohio, who passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shanks and Marie Jones Shanks; and his siblings, Edith Radcliff, Charles Shanks, Imogene Deacon, Robert Shanks, Elsie Shanks, Ruby Shanks and Betty Ruth Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Shanks (Sonia) of Peebles, Diane Thompson (Michael) of Piketon and Shannon Coriell (Gary) of Wheelersburg; and his grandchildren, Erin Walburn (Brittany), Garrett Thompson, Bryce Thompson, Cody Shanks, Jaden Shanks, Shelby Shanks and Kendal Shanks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
