She is survived by: her husband Claude Sowards; her children, Terry Sowards (Robin Speakman) of Peebles, Tony Sowards (Jennifer) of Hillsboro, Chris Sowards (Brandi) of Peebles, Betty McElwee (Kerry) of Sinking Spring and Brenda Tolle (Rick) of Peebles; and her brother Jim Pertuset.
