She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Hopkins and Mary Jane Hopkins (Ramsey); her husband Melvin Tipton; her grandson Lucas Scott; and her brother R. D. Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Tangela Tipton of Irvine, KY, Angela Knox of Clay City, KY, Gregory Tipton of Piketon, OH and Christopher Tipton of Peebles, OH; and her sister Rita Thomas of Peebles, OH. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
