She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grooms and Irene Grooms (Piatt); and her husband Norman Newman. She is survived by: her daughters, Candy Smith (Jim) of San Antonio and Sandy Reed of Peebles; her grandson Todd Reed; and her great grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, Cade and Cash.
