He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman Newman and Lucille Newman (Grooms); and his siblings, Eldon, Gary Newman, Rae Fultz, Phyllis Smalley and Carolyn McAllister.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Newman (Grooms); his daughters, Candy Smith (Jim) of San Antonio and Sandra Reed of Peebles; his siblings, Tom Newman (Kathy) of Peebles and Marilyn Waddell of Peebles; his grandson Todd Reed of Florida; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, Cade and Cash.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Norman's name to the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center, Commerce Drive, Seaman, Ohio 45679.
