She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oscar Bell and Mary Bell; her brothers, Paul and Gene Bell; her friends, Bloody Marys, Doritos, Dove Bars and Perry Mason; her children, Marilyn of Peebles, Dann (Lisa) of Hillsboro and Dennis (Lisa Ingram) of Ashburn, VA; her grandchildren, Ryan (Kelly) of St. Johns, FL, Drew (Nichole) of Springboro, Isaac (Kelly) of Washington, DC, Sierra and Henry of Ashburn, VA; and her great grandchildren, Vincent, Emerleigh, Oliver, Harrison, Willow and Landrie. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
After retiring from the newspaper, she was executive director of the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, a local nonprofit charity that assists needy and elderly residents of Highland County.
