He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Byers and Wanda Byers (Nixon); and his brother Tyrone Byers. He is survived by: his wife Iva Byers (Bush); his son Derek L Byers (Mariah) of Peebles; his siblings, Brent Byers (Dyanna) of Peebles, Perry Byers (Bonnie) of Peebles, Nick Byers (Patty) of Peebles and Roberta McAtee (Larry) of McArthur; his uncle Bruce Byers (Mary Ann); his aunts, Donna Byers and Brenda Byers; and his granddaughters, Katie and Riley.
