He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lowder and Clara Meyers Lowder. He is survived by: his siblings, Challis Lowder, Richard Lowder, Grant Lowder, Marie Cunningham, Jewel Sells, Helen Lowder, Sara Ann Bennett and Gail Dement; his wife Marion Ellen Hopson Lowder; his children, John Lowder Jr. (Julie) of Corbin, KY, Richard Lowder of Hilsboro and Ellen Mueller (Mike) of Aurora, IL; and his grandchildren, Sarah Cain, John Lowder III, Rachel Li, Elias Watts, Michael Mueller and Israel Mueller.
