He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Shoemaker and Venus Shoemaker (Peterson); his wife Darlene Shoemaker (Markins); and his brother Luther "Carroll" Shoemaker. He is survived by: his children, Neil Shoemaker (Colleen) of Winchester, Owen Shoemaker (Margie) of Peebles, Steve Shoemaker (Lana) of Bainbridge, Sandy Ryan (Jeff) of Sinking Spring and Linda Christman (Bruce) of Winchester; and his close friend Joan Alder of Peebles. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
