She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hoop and Gracie Hoop (Alexander); her husband Gene Swayne; and her children, Frankie Swayne and Phyllis Swayne.

She is survived by: her daughter Willa Jean "Cricket" Chatman of West Chester; her sister-in-law Flossie Hoop of Dayton; and her daughter-in-law Kay Swayne of Peebles. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 30 great, great-grandchildren.
