He was predeceased by: his father Joseph R. Thompson; his stepmother Deanna Thompson; his mother Velma Hall (Rice); his stepfather Oliver Hall, Jr.; and his brothers, Russell Thompson, Jim Thompson and Roger Thompson.
He is survived by: his close friend Sandy Sizemore of Pedro; his children, William "Russ" Thompson, James Sizemore and Amanda Tucker; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Sizemore, Justin Drumm, Calob Drumm, Hazel Sizemore and Brandon Tucker; and his siblings, Teresa Wells of Cincinnati, Jon Thompson of Paris, TN., Jack Thompson of Williamsport, TN and Bernie Rickman.
