He is survived by: his sons, Joshua, Shelby Ruth of Harrod, OH, Nicholas, Gabriell Ruth of Milton, WV and Samuel Ruth of Barboursville, WV; his stepson Andy (Courtney Miller); his sister Tami (Brian Kidd); his nephews, Brian Lee, Chrissy Kidd, Jason and Tiffani Kidd; and his grandsons, Remington, Bearrett and Hunter.
