She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl E. Carmon and Lillian J. Layne Carmon; her husband John J. "Buss" Hackworth; and her siblings, Charles "Cotton" Carmon, Donald Carmon and Gladys Kelley.

She is survived by: her sons, Stevan R. Hackworth (Sherry) and Tim E. Hackworth (Kim) of Pedro, OH; and her grandchildren, Ryan Hackworth and Irina Hackworth.
