He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schmidt and Ida Schmidt (Carpenter); and his brother Glen Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Linda (Franklin); his children, William Schmidt, Jr. (Paula), Kevin Schmidt (Tammy Poth), Aimee Smeed (Ronald Salsbury) and Ann Forrer (Brad Kauser); his siblings, Paul, Roy (Joann), Lucille Schmidt, Delores Daugherty, Victoria Fisher and Betty Rister; and his sister-in-law Donna Schmidt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren.
