He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coughlin and Matilda Coughlin (Ditlinger); his wife Evelyn Sue Coughlin; his siblings, Margaret, Joseph and Francis; and his siblings-in-law, Lynn Blalock, Raymond McNamee and Harriet Coughlin.
He is survived by: his children, Garry Coughlin (Connie Frustere) of Mentor, Brian Coughlin (Lynette) of Leo and Lisa Rosen (Barry) of Toledo, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Justin, Allison, Kaitlyn, Alex, Stevie and Benny; his great grandchildren, Carter and Conner; his sisters, Evelyn Copsey (Wayne) and Patricia Young (Michael); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Coughlin and Judy Blalock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 417 N. Main Street, Paulding, Ohio 45879 in the form of masses.
