She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Metcalfe and Edna Herr (McDougal); her husband Andrew F. Hersey; and her son Kevin Andrew Hersey. She is survived by: her daughters, Marie McConkey (Reece), Kara Hersey, Andrea Hersey and Beth Leamon (Ben); and her siblings, Robert Metcalfe (Cindy), Richard Metcalfe (Marsha) and Cheryl Burkholder (Paul). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,.
