He was predeceased by: his father Richard Gerber; and his brothers, Ron and Rick Gerber. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Gerber (Williamson); his children, Shawn Gerber (Shane) and Jennifer Watkins (Heath) of Wilmington, N. C.; and his grandchildren, Kalin, Nathan, Tyson, Kennedy and Carly.
The family suggests donations made to a charity of the donor's choice.
