She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kauser and Anna Kauser; her husband Frederick James "Jim" Mathias; her son Carlton Mathias; and her sister Eileen Geyer.
She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Rasmussen (Peter); her grandchildren, Katherine, Matthew and Kyle Rasmussen; and her brother John Henry Kauser of Paulding, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
