He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Zay and Margie L. Smith (Priest); his wife Barbara Schaadt; and his stepdaughter Elesa Clark. He is survived by: his children, Richard Smith (Janette) of Paulding, OH, Kenneth Smith (Kathleen) of Dover, OH and Marlene Kipfer (Don) of Payne, OH; his stepdaughters, Pam Gray of Elkhart, IN and Maria Moleski of Elkhart, IN; and his sister Mary Porter of Paulding, OH. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
