He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Talma Gribble and Martha Gribble (Whitley); his wife Mary Kay Gribble; his children, J. T. Gribble (Tiffany Schulte), Van Wert and Jennifer Adkins (Josh); his siblings, Talma E. Gribble (Barbara) and Teresa McGuire (Arvell); and his granddaughter Zoey Rayne Adkins.
