James E. McCorkle Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James E. McCorkle Sr. of Paulding, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James E. McCorkle Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William McCorkle and Rosie McCorkle (Damon); his girlfriend Linda Copeland; his brother William McCorkle; and his pets, Brute and Nemo.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" McCorkle, Jr. (Shawna) of Napoleon, Catherine McCorkle of McClure, Jeremiah McCorkle (Lori) of Napoleon, Carrie Burger of Liberty Center, Nicholas McCorkle of Defiance, Nicole Sugars of Hicksville and Roger McCorkle of Napoleon; and his siblings, Danny McCorkle of Ft. Wayne, IN and Beverly Ryan of Defiance. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
