He was predeceased by: his father Francis "Emmett" Plotts; his former wife Judy Kay Mason; his wife Betty Bland; his sons, Robert Laffin and Michael Plotts; and his siblings, Gary Plotts, Paul Plotts, Dana Plotts, Harvey Plotts, Ina Gay Plotts Adkins and Ruth Ann Brown.
He is survived by: his children, William Plotts (Tara) of Fremont, IN and Brenda LaFountain (Dan) of Paulding, OH. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
