He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio Canales and Alicia Canales (Figueroa); his wife Rebecca Luna; and his brothers, Heraldo Canales and Gregorio Eden Canales.
He is survived by: his siblings, Leroy Canales, Jose Canales (Diana), Eloy Canales (Lorena), Beatrize Cline (Jerry), Belsa Chapa and Benilde Jackson (Dwayne); and his grandchildren, Starr Canales, Niki Canales, Alysia Canales, Xuxa Canales, Aeneas Frost and Caryss Canales. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
