She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Gray and Stella Willis Gray; her husband Jesse Ray Hayes; her son Michael Ray Hayes; and her brothers, Kenneth Gray and Tommy Gray.

She is survived by: her children, James Patrick Hayes and Melissa A Stewart; her grandchildren, Charlotte E Stewart, Choloe Stewart, Jocelyn A Hayes, Makayla Hayes, Michael J Hayes and Christopher I Hayes; and her brother Russell Gray.
