He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Roseanna Van Meter Adkins; his children, Brittany Ann Marie Adkins (Daniel Summers), Jacob and Caleb Neal Adkins; his grandsons, Brodee Adkins and Shawn Daniel Summers; and his brothers, Col. Dean R. Adkins (Rebecca), Eugene Adkins (Marion) and Jim Adkins (Carla). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
